the AC12, as the ice chest may be placed higher than the A/C, which is the one advantage of the AC12, otherwise there are two main disadvantages.

All other models like the MK3 must be higher than the ice chest so that the condensation that always occurs as you cool air gets syphoned back into the ice chest. The condensation in the AC12 just stays inside and must be dumped out every once in awhile or it will spray water and that must not let happen or it will eventually ruin some of the electronics and motor.
Second is the fact that the AC12 will not cool when the ice runs out where all MightyKool models like the MK3 will continue to cool with water only and in many cases in Australia you would not need ice at all, just water. If you know that you need the air conditioner lower than the ice chest, then the AC12 is the model you need.

"Last summer, on days when temperatures were in the 80's, having the Icester on medium and blowing out into the cab kept the cab comfortable on the way to work. Running on high this same way actually made it very cool in the cab and I would have to direct air flow away from me as it would start to get uncomfortably cool on exposed skin. On days when temperatures were in the 90's, I would turn the Icester so that it was blowing directly on me.While the cab itself was on the muggy side, having the air blow directly on me kept me comfortable. Two bags of ice from a local store fill the ice chest to capacity, and even on high on the hottest days, on arrival at work, more than half the ice was still left.

The Icester comes in handy also on the return trip late at night. Even though the temperatures have cooled down, it still is humid and muggy, especially during or after a late evening thunderstorm. With a good portion of the ice still left, placing the Icester on low removes the humidity from the cab and can actually cool the cab down to the point of being uncomfortable, even fogging up the windshield unless directed away from it. It has the same effect when driving in the rain, removing the humidity and preventing the windshield from fogging, which would normally require running defrost and the electric heater which would place an extra drain on the battery pack."

How does the Icester Cool?
Treat it just like any other air conditioner except you do not vent the heat outside. The heat is transferred into cold water by drawing the heat through a Transfer Core inside the Icester. The water lines running from the Icester into your Ice Chest are four feet long for easy placement of your Ice Chest out of the way. The Icester is capable of cooling so efficiently that it uses 20 pounds (9 kilograms)
of ice per hour. When the ice has melted the Icester does not cool the air anymore, however keeps blowing ambient air to help you somewhat until you have a chance to add more ice or reusable freeze packs. Keep the heat outside and enjoy the cooled air inside without drilling holes or opening windows.

What makes the Icester work: The ice or reusable freeze packs placed in the ice chest chills the water. The water is then pumped into a special copper-chilling core and also through the evaporative pads. The blower motor draws ambient air through the evaporative pads pre-cooling the air before it is drawn through the chilling core. After the air is cooled it is directed outward to cool the occupants. The water that has been used and not evaporated during this process is then returned back to the ice chest to complete the cycle.

What are the Dimensions, Amperage Draw and Water Capacity?

One gallon (3.75 liters) of water will last around two to three hours in the daytime and four to five hours during the night when used for evaporative cooling in dry desert climates. The "Ice Water" models typically use from 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms) to 20 pounds (9.0 kilograms) of ice Per Hour, depending on the ambient temperature and day or night operation.

A 105 Deep Cycle battery, "not being charged", allow the MW1, WIN & MW2 to operate for 50 to 80 hours and the "Ice Water" models like the MK3, MK4, MAC & M400 will operate for 25 to 35 hours before the battery needs charging. The T154, T304, S154 & AC12 Models will operate about 8 hours before the battery would need charging, as they use more energy.

 Evaporative Cooler Models MW1/MW2 use Water only and the WIN could use both Ice and Water. The AC 12 will not cool with Water. The M400, MK3, MK4, MAC, & MG4 Provide; Dual Air Conditioning using Ice or Water
All Dual Systems automatically dispose of the excess condensation collected
